Hey ladies, on one of my recent visits to Winners I realized that they had cook books. I figured I would grab a bunch because I’m not really a cooking type of person. But seeing I will be living on my own soon, still haven’t moved out completely yet, I thought these would come in handy. I glimpsed thru them so far and the recipes don’t seem that complicated and I can’t wait to give some of them a try. I can’t wait to share with you over the next few months how these books work out for me. I hope to grab some different ones so I can attempt to be a well rounded cook.

Review Thursday | OPI Did It On ‘Em

Hey ladies, just wanted to share with you my thoughts on the OPI Did It On ‘Em polish from the Nicki Minaj Collection. Honestly, I was super disappointed in this polish; maybe it was because I had the mini size to it. But it applied horrible. It was extremely streaky and even after 4 coats is wasn’t opaque at all. I’m sad that it applied so horribly because it’s such an amazing neon yellow-green color, well it leans more towards yellow, for summer. With this color it lasted me a week without chipping. I only had the fading on the tips because of all the typing I do. But in the end I was so frustrated with this polish that I only ended up painting one hand and left it like that. I never had to work so hard to get a color to apply properly. I’m almost tempted to get the regular size bottle to see if I could actually make the color work.

 

 

Currently, I wouldn’t recommend this polish at all. I was super disappointed in it. If I ever buy the full size of this color I will do an update review on it.

Hey ladies, just wanted to share with you the new foundation I recently picked up. I currently have a bunch of foundations I’m rotating thru but I really wanted to give this one a try. Recently Revlon released the Colorstay Whipped foundation and I needed to get my hands on it. I really love the Revlon foundations but they work really well for my skin tone. I haven’t really heard alot of things on this foundation yet but I still wanted to give it a try and see how well it worked. I picked up the color Caramel and hopefully it works out for me; they didn’t have any testers but it was the darkest shade they had my local Walmart.

Hey ladies, just stopping by real quick to share with you the makeup I wore this past weekend to a Gospel Concert. It was the first one I’ve gone to in a few years and it was a really great experience. I also will be posting the outfit I wore to it as well, in an upcoming post. Hey ladies, just stopping by to share with you another small fashion haul. As you can let by my recent posts, I love shopping at Winners. I recently stopped in and picked up a jean button up shirt from Hurley. I can’t wait to style these piece over the next few weeks/months. I also picked up a stripped long sleeve from American Eagle; I was surprised when I saw that they sold it. Lastly, my favorite thing I purchased that day was my new Steven Madden knee high boots. I’ve been wanting knee high boots for the last couple of years. But I could never find one that would fit my calves comfortably. And I’m beyond excited to start wearing these.

Hey ladies, just wanted to stop by real quick and share with you what I recently picked up from Sephora. I honestly, stopped in looking to buy a bunch of things but nothing really caught my eye; that’s what usually happens. I really wanted to try out something new from Makeup Forever but I wasn’t sure what to get. I decided to go with the travel size of the HD Powder because alot of people rave about it. I haven’t used it yet but I can’t wait to give it a try. Hopefully it doesn’t come off ashy on me.

Hey ladies, just wanted to share with you the new Jelly Belly items I picked up. I recently was at Winners, like usual, and I saw this super cute Hello Kitty candy jar. And I knew I just needed it in my life. I’m such a huge fan of Hello Kitty so I always buy items that feature it; either for myself or my princess. And this was no expectation. It was around $15 and it with five mini jelly belly packets inside. But I personally knew it would last, so I also picked up two of the Cocktail Classics and a twelve once jar of 49 flavors. Honestly, I love these and I can’t wait to grab more to fill my new little Hello Kitty jar and this will probably sit on my makeup vanity so I can munch on these while I update my blog.

Hey ladies, just wanted to stop by and share with you some items I picked up for my new place. I personally love baking and I can’t wait to bake this Winter. I really enjoy making cupcakes and cakes during the cold months when I hate leaving the house. I decided to pick up some of the silicone cupcake molds and some measuring cups. I got mine all at Winners; yes I love that store for everything. I will probably stop back in there of the next few weeks and hopefully I can find some other fun shaped trays for my princess and myself for all the baking we will be doing.

Hey ladies, just wanted to come by with another quick post. This past week it’s been getting super chilly and turning into Fall. With the season change I’m slowly moving into wearing more Fall appropriate colors. This time around I opted to wear OPI My First Knockwurst. It’s such a pretty blush color and I’m super surprised how well it looks against my skin tone. I love how it just gives me a sleek look to my hands.

2 coats of OPI My First Knockwurst

Hey ladies, I just wanted to share with you the goodies I picked up at the MAC Styleseeker Collection. Like I mentioned in my last post I had wanted to pick up some of the mattene lipsticks. And I was lucky enough to get two from this collection. Originally, I wanted to pick up 3 of the lipsticks but I realized I already had one of them in my collection. So I only ended up with two. I picked up Camden Chic and Fashion Nomad; honestly both colors will be great for Fall/Winter. But can be carried into the warmer months as well.

Hey ladies, just wanted to share with you some items I recently picked up for the upcoming Fall season. Lately, I’ve been shopping at Winners alot; seeing I finally got the hand of finding items. And I found a great brand called Vero Moda. This line has so many great pieces and I recently picked up 4 sweaters from it. The first three are the exact same item but in different colors. It’s an oversized sweater and it will be great for layering. The last one is another sweater with button detailing on the back. I’ve seen other pieces I want to pick up from this line and I can’t wait to grab them.

Review Thurday | OPI Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue

Hey ladies, I just wanted to share with you my thoughts on the OPI Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue polish that I recently picked up. It’s a beautiful jewel toned royal blue color. It only took 2 coats to get opaque, which is great in my books. And it applied smoothly. It also wore really well. It only really started too faded on the tips of my nails because I’m always typing on a keyboard at work and home. There was slight chipping near the nail beds but that was mostly because I started to pick at it. It’s such a beautiful color for the fall/winter season. But I would wear this color all year round.

 

 

I would definitely recommend this color is you were looking for a great jewel toned blue for the fall/winter season.

Hey ladies, just wanted to share with you the look I created today. I wanted to film a new tutorial for my youtube channel. And seeing that it’s the first week of school I created a back to school makeup look. This look probably isn’t for everyone but this is what I would wear and I thought I should share it. I decided I wanted to wear something Fall appropriate on my toes and I figured OPI I’m Suzi & I’m A Chocoholic would be a great choice. It’s such a pretty red-brown color and it’s amazing for this upcoming season. I love how it looks against my skin tone and I can’t wait to wear it on my nails in the upcoming weeks.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to stop by and share with you what I’m currently wearing on my nails. This past week it started to feel like Fall in the mornings and I decided I wanted to wear a color that would work nicely for the upcoming season. I didn’t want to wear something extremely dark and I thought OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know? would be perfect from the OPI Holland Collection. It’s such a beautiful chocolate brown color and I really like how it looks against my skin tone. I will have a review coming up on this polish soon. So keep your eye out for that post.

Swag Shoppin | MAC Styleseeker Collection Hey ladies, just wanted to stop by and share with you the new blushes I picked up from the MAC Styleseeker Collection. This collection had alot of great items but I have only picked up two so far. I was able to get my hands on two of blushes. The first one was Supercontinental; which is a lovely orange-coral color. Then I also picked up Hidden Treasure; which is an amazing burnt orange-red color. I haven’t tried these out yet but I honestly can’t wait. They will make amazing cheek colors for this fall. I do plan on getting some of the mattene lipsticks hopefully. But I plan on waiting till I go to the launch party this weekend to pick up the rest.
