I also got Ardell runway lashes claudia in black. And the last one I decided to get were Ardell invisiband lashes hotties in black. The adhesive I picked up was the Duo eyelash in clear. So in the up coming weeks, I will keep you posted on how I'm coming along with these lashes.

Crazy for China

Hey yall! How are you doing this lovely day? So I have been shopping at Sally's beauty supply alot lately. I just love that store, I never leave empty handed. So 2 weeks ago, roughly, I picked up 11 new polishes. I heard they were really good and I love how they are working so far. I can't really complain about anything.

The first one I decided to pick up was the Matte Magic top coat. It suppose to give any polish a flat finish. So if you have a favourite color that's shimmery/shinny it will change it to a matte look.

Next I got Rich & Famour and Jamaican Out. The Rich & Famous is a nice matte finished hot pink. I've used this color already and I like how it goes on. When it dries it has a lovely finish. So far it's one of my favourites from this line. Jamaican Out is a nice shimmery orange. It has a nice rich color and it goes on fabulously. I haven't used it on myself yet, but I really like how it looks on the hands.

I got Twenty-four K and Millennium, they are from the chrome collection. The Twenty-four K is a lovely gold color. It's a very pure color, with a slight shimmer to it. Millennium is a nice silver color, it's one of the better ones that I have tried. It does streak on the first coat. But once you let it dry and apply a second coat it has a wonderful finish.

I also got Caribbean Temptation and Sexy in the City. I really love Caribbean Temptation. It like a shimmery magenta color. I love how it looks on my toes, it was wonderful color to use for a pedicure. I believe it would look good on all skin tones. I say it's one that needed in anyones nail polish collection. Sexy in the City is just a nice teal/blue color, well more blue then teal. It has a nice shimmer to it. If you want a the true color of it you will need to do 3 coats. I also like they color for a pedicure.

Next I got Solar Power and Tree Hugger. I needed a yellow and green to add to my collection. Solar Power is a nice matte yellow. It's not too bright but it's not dull either. It looks really nice when applied. Tree Hugger is a wonderful matte green. It's almost a pale green. When it's dry it gives a very true color. This is another one of my favourites.

Finally, the last 2 i got were Liquid Leather and White on White. I was looking for a really good black polish and Liquid Leather is just what I was looking for. It only took 2 coats to make it's true color, not like some others that look up to 4 coats. It's a lovely matte color. With White on White, I had tried a few other white nail polishes, they were really runny and I couldn't get a nice finish. I was recommend this one cause it's not runny. I haven't used it as yet but once I do, I will let you know how well it works.

So this are the new polishes I have added to my collecction. I'm really enjoying how these polishes apply and dry. I will most definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Till next time!

New Hair Products

Hey yall! I recenty picked up some new hair products from Sally's beauty supply. I got them from the Silk Elements line. I have seen and read a tone of reviews on them as well, so I thought I would give them a try.

First I picked up the Slik Elements Luxury Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is infused with silk protein, aloe vera, panthenol pro-vitamin B5 and moisturizers. It says it helps rehydrate, repair dry or damaged or chemically treated hair. The conditioner is a deep penetrating, rehydrating, conditioning treatment that is designed to rebuild cry damaged hair. It also has silk protein, aloe vera, panthenol pro-vitamin B5 and moisturizers in it. It's suppose to help restore elasticity, add body, shine and manageablitiy without weighing down your hair.

Next I picked up the Silk Elements Curl Defining Mousse. It says it's a lightweight alcohol-free foam that delivers curl definition, maximum body, volume and control; while leaving the hair managable, healthy with a shine. With that I also picked up Silk Elements Foam Styling Lotion. It says that it will you a natural yet firm, lasting hold. Also it suppose to give your extra protection while styling with heat.

The last item I got was the Silk Elements Megasilk Heat Protection Spray. It's suppose to help protect the hair from heat damage from styling with flat and curling irons. It shoud leave the hair soft and silky while leaving it with a healthy shine.

So I plan on using these products in the next couple of weeks. So when I have used them, I will give you a product review and let you know what I thought of the products.

Till next time!

Another Nail Design

Hey guys! How was everyones day? Mine was really good, did some cleaning, all that usual stuff. So after I did my little cousins nail, I decided to do mine as well. I was just playing around with the new China Glaze polishes and the things I order off line.

For the design I did on my I used China Glaze's Rich & Famour for my french tip. Then using the Art Club striper in black I made 2 black lines on the left of the nail. Also I used Art Club striper in Neon Violet to draw 3 slanted lines that came out of the bottom right corner of my nail.

For the design on my foot I used China Glaze's Caribbean Temptation to create a slanted tip on my big toe. I painted the rest of the nails fully with that color. In the blank area I painted 3 horizontal lines in Art Club's Neon Violet. And with Art Club's Aqua I painted 3 lines going veritcal on the slanted french tip.

So this will be the designs I will be rocking for the following week. Let me know what you guys think.

Till next time!

New Nail Design.

Hey yall! How you doing this lovely day? I'm good, slightly tired cause my little princess decided she wanted to stay up till 1am to play. So I have done a new nail design for my little cousin. It's a very simple design. I used China Glaze's Jamaican Out nail lacquer as the base color. The detailing was done with a dotting tool and the art club stripers: red on red, black and yellow.

I also did a new design for her toes. I used China Glaze's Sexy in the City. With that I used art club stripers in white, black, and blue glitter. This design was fun and simple in my eyes. It was even my first time trying to do a flower.

Well guys let me know what you think.

Till Next time!

Some very big news =]

Hey guys!
I have some amazing news to let you in on. I have decided to go natural. YAY! I've been debating this idea over and over for the last 3 years. I'm extremely excited that I have come to a decision on this topic.
I don't relax my hair cause when I was younger I tried it once and it broke off all my hair, that was about in '99. You couldn't even do anything with it at all. It was horrible, so at that time my mother decided I should cut all my hair off to a very low cut. It was sort of like that old Halle Berry look from back in the day. With that being done, my hairdresser suggested that I get my hair texturized. Which is basically a softer way of handling your hair compared to a relaxer. For me it basically just loosened up my curls, which made them easier to work it. So basically ever since then I've been getting my hair texturized.
In the beginning I would get it done every 4-6 weeks. As I got older and had to pay for it my self it stretch from every 3-4 months. So over the last 10-16 months I've had it done twice. I usually did it at the beginning of summer and at the end. See I was never a girl that really like doing their hair, I like to stay in single braids and cornrows. It would only be straight when I got it done at the hairdressers. So this how transitioning into being completely natural won't be such a big challenge-I think.
When I was first thinking about going natural I had wanted to become a Dread; which means having dreadlocks. I kept wanting to do it, I even booked 3 appointments to get it done. Which I never followed through on. I honestly do love the way they look, the only problem was that I like to change my hair alot. Like every summer for the past 3-4 years I do a big chop and get my hair textuzied. I love short and funky hair cuts. The whole idea of not being able to do that didn't really appeal to me after I thought about it real hard.
So lately I been seeing alot of people going natural, using all different type of methods. Some do the whole big chop and others just slowly transition into it. I'm really not a fan of the big chop. I know I just said I like short hair, but only when it's straight. Personally when I have short curly hair I look to much like my little brother and it bugs me, lol. With that being said and done, I believe that the best way for me to become truly natural is with transitioning into it.
I had my last texturizer done in July 2009, this was the first time I haven't cut off all my hair for the summer. I just had a baby girl, Victoria, in April and figured it would be to hard to keep up with that style at that time. Basically a week or two after I got my done I got my hair done in singles. Since that time I have been wearing alot of braids and cornrows, I haven't really noticed if my hair has grown. It was falling out right after I had the baby due to hormone changes in my body. With that all being said I will keep you guys informed about my journey on going natural.

Till next time!

New Goodies =)

Hey Everyone!
How are you guys doing this morning?
I'm feeling great, while slightly tired but that's expected when you have a young child. So lately I've really been into doing my own nails and nail art.
What inspired me was watching all those talented ladies on youtube,
so I decided to give it a try and I love it!
It's way cheaper for me to do it myself then go get them done professionally every 2-3 weeks.
So a couple of weeks ago I was searching online for nail art supplies and came across the site: http://www.nailiteinc.com/
It has tons of different products on there: airbrush systems, brushes, nail art, etc.
At that time I was looking to purchase some nail art polishes and dotting tools.
Cause every other week I was going to Sally's Beauty Supply to pick up a color here or there.
When I came across this site I noticed it had the Art Club stripers at a really good price,
but it also carried the product in certain collections.
Also they had a 5 piece dotting tool as well which worked out perfectly for me.
They even had a wide variety of rhinestone carousels.
I ended up getting 4 out of the 5 Art Club striper collections.
Each collection came with 7 polishes and a top coat/sealer.
The first one I chose was in the pastel collection.
http://www.nailiteinc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=204_156&products_id=3211

Colors from left to right:
White, Black, Yellow, Red on Red, Green, Gold Glitter, Silver Glitter & Sealer
I was slightly disappointed with this one, I was really expecting to receive just a normal blue striper, but instead I received to more glitters.
Each collection cost $11.75USD.

From that site I also ended up getting the 5 piece dotting tool set.
http://www.nailiteinc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=185_315&products_id=2450

This tool set came with 10 different ball sizes ranging from 1/32" to 1/16".
I really have enjoyed this set so far, it gives such a great range of sizes. The price of this was $7.49USD. I ended up also getting a 2.2mm flat rhinestone carousel. http://www.nailiteinc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=39&products_id=246

It came with an assortment of colors. It was $4.99USD.

I really had a good experience with this site. The customer service was excellent. The only down side to this site is that you need a minimum of a $25.00 order. But is pretty easy to come by seeing there is so many things on there related to doing nails and nail art. Also the shipping was really fast. It only took about 10 days to get to me. And all the pieces arrived when they were suppose to. I do recommend this site. I will most likely order from them again in the new year.
Till next time!

Great find.

Hey everyone!

How are you guys doing this beautiful morning?
So lately I have been trying to grow out my nails,
and I have a problem when them cracking on the sides and it really hurts.
It hurts the when it catches in my hair and clothes.
So I been looking for a type of nail glue that works for it.
In my search for a good product to use and I found one that really works for me.
It's called Nailene Designer Collection Brush-on Nail Glue.
I found mine at a local Shopper'sDrugmart, but I'm really sure you could find it at a Walmart as well.

This product was very easy for me to use.
Bascially you start of with a complete buffed nail, then with the applicator brush you add a thin layer to the cracked area.
After that you hold it in place with a tweezer or toothpick for a few seconds so that it sets in place.
After it has dried completely you need to re-buff your nail to a shine and your all done.
On the packaging it says it can last up to 10 days, and with me I have only been wearing it for 3 days and it's still holding strong.
This product truly worked better that just using a regular nail glue, which didnt keep its hold more than a few hours in my opinion.
I would recomend this product to anyone who asked.
I hope this was helpful in your look for a product that would help seal your cracked nails.

Till next time.
